Site Name:

Client:

Overview:
Removal of Asbestos Super Six Roof Sheets from Warehouse and Asbestos Debris Clean up.
Summary:
In preparation for building demolition it is often a requirement to remove asbestos cement sheeting and roof sheets. Using trained & qualified asbestos workers the asbestos cement debris is collected and placed into asbestos bags or wrapped with plastic and sealed ready for disposal at an Asbestos landfill. This is to be done carefully to avoid contaminating surrounding areas. In the case of removal of flat asbestos cement sheeting, care is to be taken to avoid breaking the sheet and wrapping it whole which prevents the escape of asbestos fibers.
This process was also adopted when removing the Super Six Asbestos roof sheets from this project. Using inertia reels while working at heights, the roof was PVA sprayed for dust containment and the sheets were removed one at a time. A telehandler was used to bring the sheets to the ground averting any breakage. As a safety precaution background air monitoring was also in place while asbestos removal was underway.
RMA successfully removed all asbestos contaminated roof sheets and the building was cleared for demolition works to begin by the second team from RMA's demolition division.
